Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the warehouse, warehouse supervisors, and managing the coordination between receiving, inventory, shipping, fulfillment, and light manufacturing operations for multiple customers.


Essential Functions

  • Adhere to the Core Values of KSP Fulfillment
  • Responsible for understanding all processes in operations to ensure quality services
  • Ensure all work is performed follows required Quality Control (QC) processes
  • Ensure ISO 9001:2008 compliant quality is achieved
  • Complete and maintain required paperwork
  • Work closely with customer service to resolve issues, concerns, and maintain/improve customer satisfaction
  • Manage building issues
  • Ensure employee safety through active leadership and participation in programs and support of policies
  • Responsible for the timely investigation and reporting of all accidents, injuries, and near misses
  • Conduct Interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees
  • Plan, assign, and directing work; appraising work performance; commending and disciplining employees
  • Maintain orderly operations for multiple customers through direct supervision of warehouse staff
  • Manages direct and indirect reports to assure effective and efficient fulfillment and kitting operations
  • Provide senior management with verbal and written reports detailing fulfillment, supply chain forecasting, equipment requirements, budget, and labor activities
  • Work closely with management to develop employee skills for future advancement within the company
  • Manage, develop, publish, and enforce all policies and processes throughout the organization
  • Promote a safe working environment through adherence to OSHA regulations as well as company safety policies
  • Work with management as a team on issues, employee development, safety, and communications
  • Train and coach employees through all parts of the operation
  • Understand the impact of workflow on warehouse productivity
  • Monitor warehouse floor to ensure all work performed meets quality and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; comply with all safety and quality policies
  • Manage the safe and efficient operation of all Material Handling Equipment
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Respectful and non-threatening treatment of others
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or, in lieu of degree, 15-years of Operations Management experience
  • Lean Manufacturing Certification or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven decision-making ability
  • Experience developing and maintaining an annual budget
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, warehouse safety, and security requirements
  • Ability to read, understand, and take necessary action on profit and loss statements
  • Strong ability balancing workload and dramatic team size fluctuations
  • Ability to effectively communicate and provide coaching and feedback to employees
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
  • Computer skills, including intermediate level MS Excel, WMS/OMS/TMS
  • Excellent math, reading, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Ability to lead teams of various sizes
  • Forklift certification (Forklift, Order Picker, Reach, Rider)
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team lift environment
  • Physical requirements include: Lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, walking, and standing for long periods of time
