Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the warehouse and coordinating receiving, inventory, shipping, fulfillment, and light manufacturing operation for multiple customers.
Essential Functions

People Management
- Interview, hire, and train all new employees
- Responsible for training and coaching employees cross-functionally
- Manage direct and indirect reports to assure effective and efficient Fulfillment and Kitting operations
- Employee/labor relations
- Plan, assign and direct work: appraising work performance
- Work closely with management to develop employee skills for future advancement within the company
- Manage temporary workforce relationships/scheduling, working directly with temporary agencies.
Process
- Responsible for understanding all processes in operations to ensure quality services
- Maintaining orderly operations for multiple customers through direct supervision of warehouse staff
- Ensure all work is performed follows required Quality Control (QC) processes
- Ensure ISO 9001:2008 compliant quality is achieved
- Responsible for the timely investigation and reporting of all accidents, injuries, and near misses
- Promote a safe working environment through adherence to OSHA regulations as well as company safety policies
- Work with management as a team on issues, employee development, safety, and communications
- Complete and maintain required paperwork
Work closely with customer service to resolve issues, concerns, and maintain/improve customer satisfaction - Understand impact of workflow on warehouse productivity
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area; comply with all safety and quality policies
General
- Work with Operations Manager to manage building issues
- All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or its equivalent required
- Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
- Proven decision-making ability
- Strong ability balancing workload and dramatic team size fluctuations
- Ability to effectively communicate and provide coaching and feedback to employees
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
- Computer skills, including MS Excel, WMS/OMS/TMS
- Excellent math, reading, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Extremely detail oriented
- Ability lead teams of various sizes
- Forklift certification (Forklift, Order Picker, Reach, Rider) or the ability to become certified
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team lift environment
- Physical requirements include: Lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, walking, and standing for long periods of time
