Veteran-owned 3PL. Built for brands shipping 500+ orders a month.
Pet brands often ask whether a 3PL is "FDA-compliant". The better question is which FDA rules reach the warehouse and which stay with you and your manufacturer. For packaged treats and food, the split is clear.
| Area | KSP | Your brand / manufacturer |
|---|---|---|
| Facility registration | KSP's facility is registered with FDA, and the registration covers animal food. Registration covers the building. It approves no product. | Your manufacturer registers its own facility. Formulas, labels and claims belong to you. |
| Storage conditions | Climate-controlled storage, racked by SKU and kept apart by lot. | Tell us about any storage limits printed on the label or spec sheet. |
| Lot and expiry records | Recorded at receiving and kept per lot and per shipped order. | You set the lot code format and the date on the package. |
| Recalls | Holds the lot, quarantines stock on hand and lists every shipped order. | You decide on the recall, handle any notice to FDA and contact customers. |
| Retail requirements | Labels, cartons and routing built to each retailer's guide; orders over EDI through SPS Commerce. | Vendor setup, item data and the retailer agreement. |
KSP's FDA registration is a facility registration. It is not an FDA approval, certification or endorsement of your product, and this page never uses it that way.

Read the pet logistics guide ↗A pet product 3PL stores your inventory and ships your orders: toys, treats, chews, accessories, pet supplies and packaged food. It receives stock from your manufacturer and tracks it by SKU, and by lot and expiration date for anything a pet eats. Then it picks, packs and ships each order to customers, marketplaces and retail accounts, and sends tracking and inventory counts back to your sales channels.
Yes. Pet inventory is stored in KSP's climate-controlled, FDA-registered facility, which keeps treats, chews and food in sellable condition through summer heat and winter cold. KSP doesn't offer refrigerated or frozen storage, so raw and fresh-cooked diets need a cold-chain partner.
Yes. Lot numbers and expiration dates are recorded at receiving, before the stock can be sold. Orders are allocated first-expiring-first-out, so older product ships first, and every shipped order keeps the lot it came from. If a retailer requires minimum remaining shelf life at delivery, that rule is set for that channel before launch.
Yes. KSP puts the affected lot on hold so no new order can pick it, quarantines the units on hand and gives you the list of orders that received it. The recall decision, any notice to FDA and the message to your customers stay with your brand.
Yes, Chewy included. Retail orders run over EDI through SPS Commerce, with each retailer's labeling, carton and routing requirements set up before the first purchase order. Amazon, Walmart Marketplace and Faire orders come in through connectors and ship from the same inventory as your DTC store.
Yes. Monthly boxes, gift sets and multi-packs are built on KSP's 50,000 sq ft kitting floor, then shipped on your schedule or stored as finished SKUs. Send your box contents and cadence, and the quote covers assembly, inserts and outbound shipping.
Share your promotion calendar and forecast with your account manager early. KSP plans labor around it and can pre-build bundles and gift sets before the rush, so peak orders pick as single finished units. Inventory and order status stay visible in the portal the whole way through.
Send the safety data sheet for any SKU in those categories before onboarding. KSP doesn't run a hazmat program, so a product with a hazmat or limited-quantity shipping classification is reviewed SKU by SKU before we accept it.
KSP works with brands shipping 500 or more orders a month.
Send your monthly orders, your SKU list, your heaviest items and the channels you sell through. KSP comes back with a receiving and storage plan and a quote built on that spec.
No spec yet? A SKU list and last month's order count are enough to start.
