The best 3PLs for supplement brands in 2026 are KSP Fulfillment, ShipMonk, Shipfusion, ShipCalm, ShipBots, ShipBob, Red Stag Fulfillment and Fulfyld. KSP Fulfillment ranks first for brands shipping 500+ orders a month that sell DTC and into retail and build bundles, because it records every lot and expiry date at receiving, allocates orders first-expiring-first-out and ships at 99.999% order accuracy. We compared each ecommerce fulfillment company on what a 3PL for supplements has to get right: lot and expiry control, FDA-registered storage, kitting and subscriptions, retail EDI, network and pricing. KSP's own receiving and recall process is laid out on its supplement fulfillment services page.

Key takeaways

  • KSP Fulfillment ranks first for supplement brands that sell DTC and retail and build kits. Lot and expiry are entered before stock can be allocated, orders pull the earliest-dated lot, and every shipment keeps its lot record, so a pulled lot traces straight to orders. KSP has built 20.9M kits and runs retail EDI through SPS Commerce from the same inventory.
  • ShipMonk and Shipfusion publish a held temperature range. ShipMonk has climate-managed zones under 70°F in Nevada, Pennsylvania and Texas. Shipfusion keeps temperature-controlled sections at 60 to 68°F. KSP stores supplements dry and ambient, with no refrigerated or frozen space.
  • ShipBots holds NSF/ANSI 455-2 GMP certification, which it calls the highest third-party audit standard for dietary supplements.
  • ShipCalm and Fulfyld publish their rates. ShipCalm posts a per-order and per-item rate sheet with a $6,000 quarterly minimum fee, and Fulfyld charges one flat rate per order with five picks included. ShipBots publishes a starting price of $6.29 an order, ShipMonk publishes its monthly minimum formula, and the rest quote case by case.
  • ShipBob, ShipMonk and Shipfusion have warehouses outside the US. ShipBob lists 50+ fulfillment centers worldwide, ShipMonk runs ten across the US, Canada, the UK and the Czech Republic, and Shipfusion has one in Toronto.

Shipping supplements to DTC and retail?

KSP records every lot and expiry date at receiving, ships first-expiring-first-out and keeps the lot number on every order, so a recall pulls the right units. Supplements sit in climate-controlled, FDA-registered storage and ship at 99.999% order accuracy across 32.1M orders.

What should a 3PL for supplements handle?

A 3PL for supplements does the same receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping as any ecommerce 3PL, plus date control. Every unit carries a lot number and an expiration date, and both matter after the order ships. One wellness brand that asked KSP for a quote this year put its whole list in one line: native Shopify integration, FDA lot tracking with FEFO, and kits built into custom mailer boxes.

We read each 3PL's own supplement, pricing and locations pages on October 23, 2026, and scored it on six criteria. They are also the columns of the comparison table:

  • Lot and FEFO. Whether lot and expiry are captured at receiving, whether orders are allocated first-expiring-first-out (FEFO), and whether a pulled lot traces to the orders that received it.
  • FDA and storage. Whether the 3PL states FDA registration for its buildings, and what temperature control it publishes. FDA registration is a facility registration. FDA doesn't approve supplements before sale.
  • Kitting and retail EDI. Bundles, starter packs and subscription kits built where the daily orders ship, plus EDI orders and routing guides for retailers like GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe, Target and Walmart from the same inventory as DTC.
  • Network. How many warehouses and where. More buildings put stock closer to customers and shorten ground transit, while one building keeps every lot of a SKU in a single count and prevent duplicated safety stock and unnecessary costly warehouse movements.
  • Published pricing. Whether rates, minimums or a minimum formula are public.
  • Fit limits. Order volumes, product types or gaps each 3PL's own pages state.

Where a 3PL's pages disagree, the entry says so. The receiving and shelf-life mechanics behind these criteria are in our guide to lot control and shelf life for health brands.

What are the best 3PLs for supplement brands in 2026?

KSP ranks first because it records lot and expiry at receiving, allocates FEFO, files certificates of analysis against the lot, and builds kits and ships retail EDI orders from the same lot-controlled inventory. It has built 20.9M kits. The other seven each fit a different kind of supplement brand. For 3PLs outside the supplement category, see our ranking of the best 3PL companies for ecommerce brands.

1. KSP Fulfillment, best for supplement brands that sell DTC and retail and build kits

KSP works with supplement brands that sell DTC through platforms like Shopify, and builds retail kits for retailers all over the country. The veteran-owned 3PL runs fulfillment from a ~225,000 sq ft building in Brooklyn Park with 29 dock doors, a 50,000 sq ft kitting floor and 135+ Locus robots moving order containers through picking.

  • Lot and expiry: each inbound lot number and expiration date is entered before the stock can be allocated to an order. Orders pull the earliest-dated sellable lot first, and each shipped order keeps the lot it shipped from. If a channel needs a minimum remaining shelf life, that rule is set for the channel before launch.
  • Recalls: a pulled lot goes on hold in the WMS, units on hand are quarantined, and you get the list of orders that received it, with ship dates and destinations. Certificates of analysis are filed against the lot record.
  • Storage: climate-controlled, FDA-registered storage under a food facility registration. Storage is dry and ambient, with no refrigerated or frozen space.
  • Accuracy and speed: 99.999% order accuracy. Associates scan the tote and each unit, and the WMS rejects a mismatch before packing continues. Orders are picked and packed in under 30 minutes, and orders in by 2 PM CST ship the same day. Here is what 99.999% order accuracy means at your volume.
  • Kitting and channels: 20.9M kits built. KSP connects to Shopify, Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, Faire, NetSuite, Cratejoy and Recharge, and retail EDI runs through SPS Commerce from the same lot-controlled inventory.
  • Pricing and service: quoted per program. Sales walks you through a sample invoice for your program line by line before you sign, and KSP's on-site dedicated account manager answers your account issues within 2 hours.

Best suited for: Supplement brands shipping 500+ orders a month that sell DTC, on marketplaces and into retail, and build bundles or subscription kits.

2. ShipMonk, best for brands that need GFSI-certified sites and cool zones

ShipMonk runs ten fulfillment centers: seven in the US (two in the Las Vegas area, one in Fort Worth, two in Pittston, Pennsylvania and two in Louisville) and one each in Ontario, the UK and the Czech Republic.

  • Compliance: every US facility is FDA-registered and runs to cGMP procedures, and six US facilities are GFSI certified to BRCGS standards. ShipMonk notes that Whole Foods, Sprouts, Target and most national grocery and natural channels require GFSI certification somewhere in a brand's supply chain.
  • Storage: climate-managed zones under 70°F in Pennsylvania (4,400 sq ft), Nevada (19,481 sq ft) and Texas (27,400 sq ft).
  • Lot and expiry: every inbound carton is tagged with lot and expiry at receiving and tied to every pick and shipment. FEFO is enforced, and ShipMonk reports 99.9% lot accuracy across its supplement network.
  • Retail: GMP-aligned trailer inspections on every B2B load, routing requirements set per trading partner, and EDI compliance.
  • Kitting: subscription and crowdfunding orders are kitted on an assembly line in batches of identical orders, with a batching fee on batches under 50 orders. Other bundling runs as a special project.
  • Pricing: quote only, with a published monthly minimum: monthly order volume times your first-item pick fee, minus 20%.

Best suited for: Supplement brands selling into grocery and natural retail that need GFSI-certified sites, cool zones under 70°F or warehouses in Canada and Europe. Run the monthly minimum formula on your own volume before you sign.

3. Shipfusion, best for 2,000+ order brands that want a 60 to 68°F range

Shipfusion runs four warehouses with over 1M sq ft between them, in Chicago, Las Vegas, York, Pennsylvania and Toronto, and lists Dallas as coming soon.

  • Compliance: Shipfusion says every facility is SQF, FDA and Health Canada certified and follows GMP and HACCP standards.
  • Storage: temperature-controlled sections held at 60 to 68°F, with sensors that send alerts and log conditions for audits.
  • Lot and expiry: lot and expiry tracking that supports FEFO or FIFO rotation.
  • Accuracy: 99.9% order accuracy on its supplement page. Its pricing page applies the same 99.9% to each pick.
  • Kitting and retail: kitting, subscription boxes, retailer compliance and EDI, with Amazon, Shopify, Walmart and TikTok Shop integrations.
  • Pricing: quote only. Shipfusion says it typically works with brands shipping 2,000+ orders a month.

Best suited for: DTC supplement brands shipping 2,000+ orders a month that want a 60 to 68°F storage range and a warehouse in Canada. Brands below that volume should ask whether they qualify before they spend time on a quote.

4. ShipCalm, best for brands that want published rates

ShipCalm ships from two fulfillment centers, in Los Angeles and Indianapolis.

  • Compliance and storage: FDA-registered facilities, with each supplement format stored in climate-controlled conditions.
  • Lot and expiry: lot-level tracking in the WMS, with FEFO enforced automatically at the pick station.
  • Retail: EDI-compliant B2B fulfillment for GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Costco, Walmart and Amazon, managed from the same inventory pool as DTC orders.
  • Subscriptions: recurring and subscription orders flow from the storefront into its WMS.
  • Pricing: a published rate sheet with per-order and per-item fees and a $6,000 quarterly minimum fee. Its FAQ says there are no monthly order minimums. DTC orders placed by noon ship the same day.

Best suited for: Supplement brands that want published rates and EDI into GNC, Vitamin Shoppe and Costco from two US warehouses. Budget for the $6,000 quarterly minimum fee, and price your order profile against the rate sheet, since per-item fees add to the per-order rate.

5. ShipBots, best for brands that want a third-party GMP certificate

ShipBots is headquartered in Los Angeles, minutes from the Long Beach port.

  • Compliance: NSF/ANSI 455-2 GMP certification for dietary supplements. Its pages say it follows FDA and GMP requirements but don't state FDA registration.
  • Lot and expiry: every unit is tagged with lot number, expiration date and receiving timestamp in its WMS, with FEFO inventory management and 99.98% order accuracy.
  • Kitting and retail: custom kitting for bundles and starter packs, subscription boxes, and EDI-compliant B2B fulfillment for Target, Costco and Walmart with GMP documentation.
  • Pricing: pick, pack and ship from $6.29 an order.

Best suited for: Supplement brands that want an NSF GMP certificate behind their 3PL and a West Coast warehouse near the Long Beach port. Brands shipping mostly to the East Coast should price ground transit from Los Angeles first.

6. ShipBob, best for brands that need warehouses in several countries

ShipBob lists 50+ fulfillment centers worldwide and a 99.97% accuracy rate in fulfilling orders.

  • Storage: ShipBob offers temperature-controlled, GFSI-certified and GMP-certified fulfillment centers to brands that need them. Its supplement page doesn't state FDA registration.
  • Lot and expiry: lot and expiry tracking for lot-controlled SKUs, with picking prioritized by expiration date (FEFO).
  • Retail: DTC and retail orders from one inventory, with automated EDI for The Vitamin Shoppe, Target and Walmart, and virtual bundling in its dashboard.
  • Pricing: quote only, and every quote is customized.

Best suited for: Supplement brands that want inventory spread across a large network with warehouses outside the US. Ask which buildings hold the temperature control and certifications your SKUs need before you send inventory. Be aware that response times may be a bit slower and your inventory may move between warehouses at your expense.

7. Red Stag Fulfillment, best for brands that also ship heavy products

Red Stag runs two warehouses, in Salt Lake City and Sweetwater, Tennessee. Its homepage pitch is for products "bigger than a toaster or heavier than 10 pounds."

  • Compliance: FDA registered, with serial and lot tracking and cycle counts.
  • Lot and expiry: FEFO rotation and lot and expiration tracking from receiving to delivery, with recalled lots traced by lot.
  • Kitting and retail: bundles, promo inserts and subscription boxes, plus EDI routing requirements, UCC-128 labels and LTL and FTL freight to retailers.
  • Accountability: its homepage promises zero shrink, zero mispicks and zero late shipments, and says Red Stag pays the brand when it misses.
  • Pricing: quote only.

Its supplement page and homepage don't mention climate-controlled storage.

Best suited for: Brands that ship supplements alongside products heavier than 10 pounds, from two US warehouses. Supplement-only brands should ask about temperature control first.

8. Fulfyld, best for brands that want one flat per-order rate

Fulfyld ships every order from one inventory pool in Huntsville, Alabama, and says ground transit reaches most of the US in 1 to 3 days.

  • Compliance: FDA-compliant handling and storage. Its pages say compliant and don't state FDA registration.
  • Lot and expiry: lot and expiry tracked in real time, with alerts on stock nearing expiration. Lot tracking has to be switched on for a SKU before its inventory is received.
  • Kitting and subscriptions: kitting services and recurring subscription orders. Its retail page doesn't mention EDI.
  • Service: a dedicated account manager, 24/7 human support, and same-day dispatch on orders in by 1 PM.
  • Pricing: one flat per-order rate with the first five picks included, then $0.50 per extra item.

Best suited for: Supplement brands that want one flat per-order rate and a dedicated account manager, from one warehouse in Alabama. Brands with retailer EDI programs should confirm EDI support before they sign.

What results do brands get with KSP?

For Target, KSP built and shipped a rollout to 611 stores. It cross-docked 20 truckloads, more than 800 pallets, built 20 kit configurations across eight SKUs and more than 75,000 cartons, and had all 611 outbound pallets built within four weeks of receiving the product. Each pallet carried 12 custom placards, three on each side, so every delivery reached the right department and team at the store. All 611 stores received their shipments on time, ahead of the installation schedule, with no damage or shortages, and KSP did it without adding warehouse space or renting trailers. The full story is on the kitting and assembly page.

KSP has built 20.9M kits on its 50,000 sq ft kitting floor, and its order accuracy runs at 99.999%.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best 3PL for supplement brands?

KSP Fulfillment, for brands shipping 500+ orders a month that sell DTC and into retail and build kits. It records lot and expiry at receiving, allocates first-expiring-first-out and keeps the lot on every order, at 99.999% order accuracy.

What does FDA registration mean for a supplement 3PL?

It means the warehouse is registered with FDA as a facility that holds food, which includes dietary supplements. FDA's supplement rule, 21 CFR 111, covers holding as well as manufacturing. Registration covers the building only. FDA doesn't approve supplements before sale, so labels, claims and testing stay with the brand.

What is FEFO in supplement fulfillment?

FEFO means first-expiring-first-out: orders pull the earliest-dated sellable lot first, whatever order the stock arrived in. It needs each lot and expiration date recorded at receiving. Without it, older stock sits behind newer stock until it's too short-dated for retailers and marketplaces that set minimum remaining shelf life.

Can one 3PL ship supplements to Amazon, retail and subscribers?

Yes, when DTC, marketplace, subscription and retail EDI orders draw from one lot-controlled inventory. KSP connects Shopify, Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, Recharge and Cratejoy, and runs retail EDI through SPS Commerce. Minimum remaining shelf life is set per channel before launch, and every order keeps its lot record.

Is your 3PL shipping your oldest lots first?

Ask every 3PL on this list for its expiry report and a sample invoice before you sign. At KSP, lots and expiry dates go into the warehouse system at receiving, orders ship first-expiring-first-out from climate-controlled, FDA-registered storage, and kits, DTC parcels and retail orders all ship from the same building.
