The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal today reveals the honorees of its 29th annual Fast 50 awards, recognizing the Twin Cities' fastest-growing privately held companies by revenue growth.
We started seeking nominations for our 2025 awards in early May, with some tweaks to our eligibility requirements we hoped would broaden opportunities for participation. And they did.
One of the key changes we made to the nomination process was adjusting our revenue threshold from $1 million in the base year of the project (in this case, 2022) to $500,000. However, all companies still needed to have year-over-year revenue growth from 2022 to 2024; and by 2024, companies must have reported at least $1 million in revenue.
Other eligibility requirements for The List of fastest-growing private companies include: They must be independently owned, privately held, for-profit businesses headquartered in the Twin Cities 24-county metro area. Also, participating companies had to submit financial statements to our accounting partner for this project, Boulay, which was tasked with analyzing those documents to ensure eligibility and verify revenue numbers.
Our 2025 honorees will be featured in the Business Journal’s annual Fast 50 special publication Friday, Oct. 24, where their rankings and growth rates will be revealed. Prior to that, our honorees will be celebrated at a private awards event Thursday, Oct. 23, at U.S. Bank Stadium.
